Hans van der Toorn (1957, The Hague, Netherlands) studied Biology at the Free University of Amsterdam and Graphic Design at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Co-founded in 1985 the communication agency Schoep & Van der Toorn (renamed PLEON in 2004), where he was creative director and managing partner.
